Delete Your ReceiptGenie Account
How to request deletion of your ReceiptGenie account and associated data.
Delete your ReceiptGenie account and data
This page applies to Receipt Organizer・ReceiptGenie, also known as ReceiptGenie, published by Botisan AI.
Request account deletion by email
Email support@receipt-genie.com from the email address associated with your ReceiptGenie Google sign-in. Use the subject ReceiptGenie account deletion and say that you want us to delete your ReceiptGenie account and associated data.
We may ask you to verify that you control the associated email address before processing the request. Do not send receipt images, identity documents, passwords, or Google credentials.
Delete receipt data in the Android app
In ReceiptGenie for Android, open Settings → Account → Delete account, review the irreversible-action warning, and confirm.
The in-app action deletes your remote Recovery copies, the local Receipt database, and stored receipt files from that Android device. The server does not currently expose a User-account deletion endpoint, so also use the email request above when you want the associated account identity record deleted.
Deleting the app or signing out does not submit an account-deletion request. Account deletion also does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; manage subscriptions through the store where you purchased them.
What we delete
After we verify and process an account-deletion request, we delete:
- your ReceiptGenie account identity and associated profile information;
- active server Recovery copies associated with that account; and
- support data that we are not required to retain for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or accounting obligations.
Receipt data stored only on another device remains on that device until you delete it there. Android has no CloudKit data, so there is no Android CloudKit purge step.
Deletion timeline and retention
- The account and requested content become inaccessible immediately after the deletion request is processed.
- Data is deleted from active systems within 60 days.
- Encrypted backups may retain deleted data for up to another 90 days before automatic expiry.
- Full removal may therefore take up to 150 days in total.
During the backup-retention window, deleted data is not restored to active service except when required for disaster recovery or legal compliance. Any data we must retain by law is isolated and kept only for the required period.
